In late April, Brenda Giese organized an excellent circumnavigation of Crater Lake.
At the end of April, 7555 Mission was completed. I was a finish carpentry intern on this project that provided affordable housing for 36 Daly City, CA families.
Beginning in May, I guided on Mt Shasta for Shasta Mountain Guides. 14,179' Shasta is a beautiful, magical volcano.

The first weekend in May, I skied Tuckerman's Ravine on Mt Washington with my niece and godchild. Even by Sierra standards, it is steep and worthy of its' legendary status.

My 9th and final climb on Mt Shasta during 2013 was guiding a group of juniors and seniors in HS led by a youth minister. This is a photograph of the passage from The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouc the youth minister read on the summit. It was the coolest summit of my season on the mountain.
August found me closer to home guiding on Mt Tam for the Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC). It was nice to be sleeping in my own sheets again!
My coolest handyman client of the year was a childcare center in SF. I thoroughly enjoyed doing show and tell while fixing and maintaining the childcare's facilities.
